New Neighbors Exhibition Catalogue
The New Neighbors exhibition, curated by the Berman Museum of Art at Ursinus College, examines relationships across the greater Philadelphia artist community. This catalogue is a companion to the exhibition, containing essays about the featured works. The abstract visual on the cover explores the interplay among the artists' work. This was achieved by collaging artwork from each artist, then blurring the images to soften boundaries and reveal commonalities in tonal values. A visible halftone pattern and color overlay were added to create texture and encourage the viewer to look more closely, as with all pieces in this exhibition. The typographic treatment is clean and bold, yet never upstaging the featured artwork.
